Support Our Heritage

Help Preserve the Profession's Heritage

The AARC is building a Virtual Museum to preserve the history of our profession. Be part of it by buying a virtual brick to support our work.

With the recent news of the Heartbleed security vulnerability, the NYSSRC wanted to assure you that this vulnerability does not affect our service, which is with the MemberClicks service. All traffic is routed through a Cisco load balancer that does not employ OpenSSL, which is the source of the vulnerability. OpenSSL is a toolkit used by about two-thirds of the internet to serve secure content and processes.

If this is the first time you're hearing of the Heartbleed vulnerability, take some time to read up on it because it affects a wide range of services and sites that you use every day. A Google search for "Heartbleed" will give you many results. In general, you will want to confirm that sites you frequent have patched the issue and update your credentials with each of those services.

Although the Heartbleed vulnerability does not apply to our service with MemberClicks, the MemberClicks team is taking additional precautionary measures to guard against other threats. As always, security and reliability is the MemberClicks top priorities.
