The statewide election season for representatives in the Assembly and Senate is certainly having an impact on moving our initiative forward at this time.

The NYSSRC Ad Hoc Committee is actively advancing the BSin RT entry-level standard in NY State by engaging legislators, merging task forces, and planning summits.

The NYSSRC Ad Hoc Committee has finalized legislation to promote a BS in Respiratory Therapy in NYS, now seeking legislative support.

The legislation has been drafted as it is currently being finalized. The committee will now prioritize gaining support for the initiative and addressing barriers for AS and AAS programs.
