Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care

There has been a lot of discussion as of late in regards to academic growth within our profession. Specifically, many RTs have expressed great concern and anxiety over the proposed legislation (S8484) which currently sits in the NYS Assembly which, if passed, would require Bachelors as the entry level into our profession for licensure in NYS.

Robert Fluck Jr. Obituary

Robert R. Fluck, Jr. 69, of North Syracuse, passed away Sunday. ob earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1972, his certificate in Respiratory Therapy from the NYU Bellevue School of Respiratory Therapy in 1973, and MS in Adult Education from Syracuse University in 1982. Robert R. Fluck, Jr. began his career at Upstate in 1975 as an instructor in the Respiratory Therapy Program in the College of Health Related Professions where he was eventually promoted to Associate Professor in 1985 and served as the Department of Respiratory Therapy’s Director of Clinical Education.
