The New York State Society for Respiratory Care mourns the loss of Thomas J. Miller RRT of Mexico, New York who passed away suddenly on February 7.  A recent addition to the staff at Newark Wayne Community Hospital in Newark, New York, Tom began his medical career as a corpsman and then respiratory therapist with the United States Air Force.  He was employed at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Granite City, Illinois before returning to his home town area in Oswego County.  He graduated with honors from the Respiratory Care Program at Onondaga Community College and then spent much of his career as a staff therapist at Oswego Hospital and working for Lincare Inc. in the Watertown, Liverpool, and Oswego areas, as well as Center Manager for the Rome location.  He will be missed by his many RT friends, including his newest acquaintances at Newark Wayne.  Please join us in our prayers for Tom and his family.
